A raw-material enquiry that asks for the lot, the specification and a delivery window

Y.Emre Konar · raw material supply website

The enquiry names a lot or a specification, and a date range. As soon as possible is not a window. Live stock is outside the first release.

A delivery window is a date range. A buyer who writes as soon as possible has not given one, and purchasing cannot price a promise with no end. The raw-material page exists so the enquiry carries the lot, the specification and that range before anyone picks up the phone.

One family, one address

Each material family has its own address: a definition, the grades you can actually offer, the pack, the standard you are willing to answer. A grade you do not sell is not listed. The page shows where the buyer pastes the specification they must hit. In discovery, HED Creative writes the three measures sales is asked every week. A measure is not invented.

Three fields, or the call happens twice

Lot: a named lot, any lot that meets the specification, or a sample. Specification: the measure or the standard name the buyer must meet. Delivery window: a start and an end. Quantity and the ship-to region sit on the same form. A generic contact box drops the three. The dropped enquiry is asked again by phone.

The lot answer is not a live warehouse figure on the public page. If the figure lives inside, the site collects the question and the answer comes from that record. The first shape of the record is in which production record enters the ERP. The page that collects the question is written in the same brief as custom software. The site does not become the warehouse.

One role gives the date

Planning or sales confirms the lot. The role is named in the scope. If both may type a date, the buyer sees two windows. One role writes, the other reads. An export window, if it differs, is its own field. It does not melt into the domestic sentence.

Left out of the first release

Live stock, automatic lot allocation, a password for every buyer and a public price list are out. So is a supplier portal. The page collects a clean question. Allocation stays in the office. Without that sentence, the project turns into building a warehouse screen.

What to send

The family names, one sample specification, who says the lot today, and which calendar binds the delivery. A price file is not required. Discovery in Berlin or Ankara writes the form fields from those four lines.

Put the page on the brief at website development. If contract manufacturing is the neighbouring door: contract production site.

Questions companies ask

Does the lot appear on the site?

Not in the first release. The form asks whether the buyer needs a named lot, any lot that meets the specification, or a sample. The figure is answered from the internal record.

Is as soon as possible a window?

No. A window has a start and an end. An enquiry without a range is asked again by phone.

Who pastes the specification?

The buyer writes the measure or the standard they must meet. You publish the names of the measures you can answer.

Is a price required on the form?

No. The first release does not open a price list. Quantity and window come before a price conversation.

Do we need software on day one?

For a live warehouse, yes. For the page, no. The site collects the question. The record is a separate scope.
