What a food plant publishes for grocery, foodservice and export buyers

Y.Emre Konar · food production plant website

Grocery, foodservice and export do not ask for the same sheet. The site names the document and the role that replies. It makes no health claim.

A food plant website is doing its job when a buyer can see the document and the person who will answer, before anyone writes an email. Grocery asks about the case and the pallet. Foodservice asks about the unit and the day it can arrive. Export asks about the country, the document and who signs the reply. One brochure for all three leaves purchasing with nothing to attach.

Open only the channels you sell

Write the channels that already have a customer. A channel you do not sell does not get a page. The grocery page carries barcode, units in the case and pallet pattern. The foodservice page carries the unit and whether the goods travel dry or chilled. The export page carries an optional destination and the name of the document that buyer asks for. HED Creative takes those fields from the file sales already opens. A certificate that is not in the file is not placed on the page.

The document stands where a claim would have been

The page names a specification sheet, an allergen list, a plant certificate you actually hold. A halal or organic file appears only when you hold it. There is no sentence about immunity, clinical effect or a healthy life. Shelf life is a logistics day. The buyer downloads the sheet or ticks its name on the enquiry. If the sheet is not public, the page says it is sent on request. No seal is invented.

The sheet sits on the same record as the product name. A loose pile does not say which product it covers. That join is decided in certificate and sheet pages. The frame of the site is scoped on B2B web development.

Name the role that replies

Export mail goes to the export role. Foodservice mail goes to domestic sales. One shared inbox mixes the three. The form takes company, channel, product, a rough quantity and the document requested. A phone number is not required. The language of the page is the language that role answers in. A German page that waits in a Turkish-only inbox is pointing at the wrong desk.

Left out of the first release

The first release is not a shop with public prices, a recipe journal, a nutrition claim or an archive of every past audit. It is not retail checkout. A sample request, if you offer one, is a tick on the form. Card payment and a dealer password are out. If that boundary is not written, the scope slides into turning the site into a store.

What the commercial lead sends

Send the open channels, one sheet per channel, the file names of the documents, and the role that replies. A missing document is not filled in. A short list is a sounder delivery than a claim you cannot stand behind. Discovery in Berlin or Ankara turns the list into page names.

Add the list to the brief on website development. The neighbouring plant-page decision: factory website guide.

Questions companies ask

Can three channels share one page?

Yes when the document and the person who replies are the same. Split them when grocery asks about pallets, foodservice about units, and export about a country.

Why is there no health sentence?

The page does not claim an effect. It names a document you hold and a logistics day. A file you do not hold stays off.

Do we publish prices?

Not in the first release. The buyer leaves channel, product and a rough quantity. A public price is a later decision.

Is a PDF enough?

A download is proof. It has to sit on the product record. A pile that is not tied to a product hides which item the document covers.

Which language for export?

The language the replying role actually uses. A page in one language and an inbox in another sends the buyer to the wrong desk.
