A dealer finder is how a firm with a distributor network sends the buyer to the right counterparty. A map on its own is not enough. The buyer wants the city, the authorisation and which items that dealer may handle. HED Creative builds the list from the records you supply. Dealers are not invented. Berlin and Ankara work from the same table.
What the record holds
Dealer name, city or region, the product group they are authorised for, contact, and when the buyer should speak to head office. An authorised service point and a sales dealer are not the same pin. A stock promise is not written until head office confirms it. If the list is short, a city select is enough. A country map is not opened for empty pins. The decision follows the real size of the network.
Where the buyer writes
A consumer looking for a shop and an industrial buyer looking for a distributor need different pages. If the industrial buyer will enquire, the form carries the selected dealer and the item. Head office takes requests that have no region. The two kinds of message are not buried in one box. The brief should show who receives it. If that is missing, the form stays empty.
Who owns the list
The dealer list is your data. The map provider account is opened in your name. When a dealer leaves, the record closes. The old address is not left as a dead end, and the region page is updated. An export is part of handover. A list locked in an agency table becomes a problem on transfer day. One accountable partner writes the export into the scope.
The same code as the catalogue
A dealer should not appear to sell an item the site does not record. The product record and the dealer authorisation use the same code. If the network exists in two languages, the German page shows the counterparty in Germany. A translation of the Turkish list is not that counterparty. Without a code, both search and the enquiry split.
How the network sits on the site is written in website development. The item record: industrial product catalogue.
