How many weeks a company site takes has a plain answer. Once the copy and the decisions are on the table, a clear company site is often weeks, not a weekend. A day count is not a contractual promise. Missing copy and a decision that sits with one person stretch the calendar.
Why a weekend is not the plan
A brief that arrives on Friday and a site that is supposed to be live on Monday assumes the copy and the decisions were already made. If the menu, who receives the enquiry, which office owns which language, and which pages stay live are unwritten, drawing screens does not move the date. When the decision meeting slips, the day counter stops. A design file does not shorten that wait.
A range people commonly see
When the copy, the languages and the enquiry path are clear, the work often takes several weeks. On many company sites that lands around six to ten weeks including discovery. That sentence is not a quote. A product record, a second language, or a form that must connect to another system stretches the range. The range means something only after your list is written. A day count copied from someone else is not your calendar.
Three things that move the date
Copy that does not arrive. Approval locked to one person. A page added in the middle of the job. None of the three is about how fast a screen can be drawn. The copy comes from the company, because the company knows the product. One person can approve. A signature tour is not required. An extra page does not enter the calendar until it is on the list. If it does, the old date stops being honest.
Open the accounts in the first week
The company should own the domain, the ad account, and the code. If the handover of a domain the supplier registered is left to the last day, launch slips. HED Creative, the partner in Berlin or Ankara, opens the accounts in the company name at the start. Hunting for a password is not a work day. The code sits in a repository you can open.
To have the calendar written, say on website development who holds the copy and which decision is still open. What the price follows: what changes a company website price.
